K it's time for a new car and i've saved up enough to get a new car around $20 g's or a bit more.
Now, I've come across a dilemma that won't let me sleep at night.
A brand new Scion tC or a Honda Civic Si.
Now, the tC's are frickin awesome, very easy to mod, look great, and are fast too with cold air intake, headers and what not.
The civic si's I believe get more gas mileage and a longer warranty but I already had a civic and modding them are so hard, especially adding new speakers  . But they have a bit more HP and are a little more expensive.
I like the tC's body more then the Si, but performance wise I can't balance it out and come to a decision 
Can someone please show some advice and opinions thanx.
P.S. Manual transmission.

IMHO the Civic looks nicer, but the tC still looks sweet.
It all comes down to what mods you want. If you want specific mods, whats going to be cheaper/better/easier. If you already have a Civic then go for the tC? I dont know too much about Cars so im just going on stock looks (although that changes if your putting on a body kit ) |

I think your decision is based completely on the popularity of car ...
you realize that those cars are specifically marketed to your age? 
but if you have to choose one ... i would take the honda first if price wasn't an issue, but its like $3,000 more 
to be honest, you're probably better off putting it into an education ... like i dunno ... college or something |

I had a civic 03 Ex. And man, it's like 30 miles to the gallon. As for mods, I'm probably getting turbo in it, muffler, yada yada. And yea, the sound system for the tC is awesome. And yes I am going to college as of now. But I got a scholarship that saved me a liver. And thats why I'm able to spare some money for a new car.
Hmm the Civic mugen... Can't go wrong.
I've always been a fan of tC's since they came out in.... 2004?. And I Always had a civic. A new civic would be awesome since they're so reliable, but the tC is the one I've always wanted And this is why I'm so stuck.
And yea Beat, I'm getting a body kit It's a must. |

Man, Im kinda hating you right now  ...
Tell me you at least plan on doing these mods yourself

Scion's are over hyped ... don't fall for that individuality crap they pump through commercials ... their overall quality isn't as nearly as good as a civic ... if you buy it, it should only be because its cheaper than the civic ...
How about you do a responsible analysis of all the cars in the scion/civic class using a rubric system? |

hah of course i'm going to mod it by myself. It costs way too much for someone to do it for you.
And you probably don't know the hassle it is just to replace a pair of 6'9's on a coupe civic do you? it takes alot of time k. Honda doesnt not want you to change anything on their cars.
Like I said tho, they are good cars and get alot of miles, but as for potential in speed, the tC is a bit better.
If i plan to upgrade a civic it could be dangerous because of the v-tec. adding more or too much might start a problem with it. and as for the tC there isnt as many limits.
But you might be right. the quality of the tC may not be as good as the civic. but they look so bad CENSORED
