No!

I spit at netbooks!

Most netbooks don't have a cd driver.
otherwise it might be possible

It's hard to find a PC that doesn't meet the minimum requirements for RF these days. Unless you bought it used chances are you'll be able to play the game just fine.

Doesn't mean you need a CD.... Sure, I bought Red Faction and indeed do have the original disks. But I have nearly all of my games in a virtual enviroment in .iso format on an external drive... Figured most people did that nowdays as it is.

doesn't matter what you do.
You have either to buy the game or to have it borrowed by a friend (which is piracy).
If you buy the game, you'll get it on a cd and if you want it as a virtual cd to install it on your nertbook, you'll need another computer with a cd drive to create the virtual CD

You don't necessarily need a second PC. A USB CD drive would work just fine, and be pretty cheap too. Total cost of an IDE drive and an IDE to USB converter is about $15 USD.

I recently bought another 8 gig USB flash drive to load my current game onto it. I now can play it at work if i do choose to. Of course only during my breaks and my lunch hour.
Nitro should be able to better answer you, since I know he has a net-book.

I wasn't patient enough to wait for Nitro to answer (if he even has time). I figured I'd test RF on my EeePC 900, so I loaded XP and copied my RF CD to an SD card and RF fired right up. I can't find anything to complain about, all seemed very comparable to my normal desktop install, and the 9" screen wasn't too bad either.

If you plan on playing RF on a NetBook, I don't think you'd be disappointed as long as you don't mind the small screen.

Also, thought I'd mention 2 other things. I have a couple NetBooks (both ASUS) and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Of course I don't care for the OS they come with, but they boot Ubuntu quite well, and the SD slot is great for booting other OS's like BackTrack (I'm not a MS fan).

No, I'm afraid I didn't. I'm still using a PCMCIA Sprint card and didn't have a way of connecting that to the eeepc.

Here is a pic of my eeePC running RF. I used a $1 (that I stole from my wife this morning) as reference to the size of the netbook.
