Let me guess: you copied the room, flipped it upside down, and put a blurry glas or plastic_layer in betwine?

It wouldn't reflect the players that way, thats the only down point, other than that it looks good.

yes completely.
but for the ground not a texture randomly. it is my texture which I wanted to use the first time. (marble polished) and I simply added transparency with Paint shop pro 7.

indeed it looks like the room has been copied, put upside down under the curent level and immerged in somme kind of water. with a transparent brush to keep you above the water.
doesn't look bad but yet I have more the impression the player is above a swiming pool

little-being it is the texture which does not return well.
there with another texture.

and on this photograph one looks would say that the system is the same one, but in real life.
I think that the ground here is a category of marble.

You should do the same as in the foto, have some parts of the floor reflect, and other parts not. (some parts seem smoother, more reflecting than others)

I remember I've done that for my own lego mp mod which I abandoned quickly after LegoSP.
Great idea seb!

However it gives away the illusion when players and effects (explosions etc) don't get reflected.

I found it difficult to comprehend it as reflection. I think it would work better if the texture was a little less transparent. To me it felt like, well.. exactly what it is, a room under the floor
