We are now with Post Office broadband, theoretically we are getting 2Mb. But my download speeds are idling around 7bkps - 12kbps. I just rung them and they said I cant report a fault within the first 10days as the line is adjusting, is this bull? If I got 100kbps+ from Tesco down the same line, I should be getting the same with Post office surely? My Router is diagnosing my connection as 128kbps down and 64kbps up. Its painful. Any suggestions/help. Im using an extension cable, but I was when I had Tesco Broadband. Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Highest I've seen an actual download go is ~200kbs. Most providers tell you about the line adjustment period so I'm guessing it must have some validity? Have you tried tests like http://www.speedtest.net/? The extra little bit of cable the connection goes through shouldn't affect the speed too much, having said that I use wireless myself. Probably paperwork and settings need to be put in order before your service completely kicks in. I know Capitals mean your talking about bytes rather than bits. I realise where I CENSORED ed up now. Oh and Red Frog bkps is kbps for the illiterate. Trying to find old players. Anyone about?
