Let's face it. The design of RF:G is CENSORED and doesn't go with the theme we are expecting to have in a RF title. The community would be the one to fix it. |

REDFROG that's probably because of the way the "buildings" fall down right now that we won't be able to make our own building. 
In Red Faction one, the Geo-mod was a bit more simple when it came to damage caused to buildings and other surfaces.  |

I took that question to mean that external files/buildings could not be imported. i.e. from max, etc... It doesn't read to me like you will not be able to make structures in an editor. It all still seems pretty vague... so who knows.
Don't knock the 3rd person until you actually play it. The game is growing on me more and more as I play the beta. I actually kind of dig the 3rd person perspective.. makes it all seem alot more open.
No, it is not RF1. Will never be RF1. But that does not mean it's crap. Just something different. And does not preclude the chance that they would make another FPS in the series...
I'd suggest to all you hardcore RFers to hold off on your judgement until you get a chance to at least play a demo....

wrecks - That's why I have no opinions on how the game is, just how I would rather have it.
Until I play the demo, which I won't be able to until they release it for PC, will I make any judgments on it. I still want to buy it, no point if having the set not be complete. 
I only have a Microsoft Xbox live but not the 360. As far as console games go. I have about 5 games that I bought but never even open the case to play them. My console probably only has about 20-30 hours of play on it. That time was mostly spent on a dirty bike game. It is hooked up to the big screen though.  |

I hate 3rd person. its no good for multiplayer at all. its too easily exploited. waiting around corners and ambushing opponents which you would never have seen in 1st person is lame.
I played the beta, its easy to recover from an attacker by running around a structure and use your wider field of view to keep yourself ou of their line of sight long enough to recover and either wait for them to get close so you can 1 hit melee kill or pop back out and kill hetm instead. works almost every time. its CENSORED .
they said they pulled back the camera because its 'frustrating' to get killed by a falling tower, you cant see enough of your enviornment, and to provide better interaction with the main character.. All of this can be done in a fps.. <_<
Id rather be crushed by a tower because next time id learn to be more aware. Id rather not have them pull the camera to please a bigger audience of unskilled noobs. Because more money comes from more people, and more people means dumber people.  |

I happen to agree. I feel that you could see more of the enviroment in a high-fov first person perspective thdn in a third person one, especially when it's so close to the player causing the player himself to take up almost half of the screen.
Either way, Red Faction: Guerrilla looks like it will live up to expectations, if not in default game settings, in editability. |
