Hi,
Does anyone test if Red Faction Demo is compatible with mod and retail version? Overwrite some file if needed etc...

bah... too bad, 1 useless download
Is sad, because it only miss few line of code in both .exe, overwrite theses and it works, unfortunately some others files also miss core things to be compatible with retail.
I tried to find a legal way to give Xmod for people who doesn't have the game.

Eh, well it's not ENTIRELY no mod support. I was able to implement all of the full version RF characters into the demo. 2 weapons as well. When I tried to add more it crashed on startup.
The lvls were seen by the game as well, but wouldn't recognize them when trying to load, so I was never able to get the full version lvls into the demo. Wish I had the modified VPP and program I made for it still. It was just something simple made in Visual C++ when I was tinkering around with tutorials to inject things into a game's core.
Alas, it was deleted on a reformat as I felt it wasn't something I'd continue or try further for. |

Ok what is so cool with the poor demo?
I think I will never get it.
There is absolutely nio point having or playing the demo nowadays.
Come to 1.2, don't expect support for anything else.  |

Too bad it would be completely useless, because then distributing the demo with content from the full game would mean it's not all free content anymore. |

I'm not too sure Lego is legal either way, but I don't know enough specifics about copyright laws to argue either way. |

Come to PureFaction - without glitches and cheats. |
PF is better than 1.2, but it is still vulnerable to cheats. |
It still blocks more than 1.2 |
