Molo, it wasn't a word as such.
It doesn't matter what you enter here in the forums, it wont do the same thing. What happened was a certain phrase was entered into the 'match this' column in the admin panel.
The language filter is run by regular expression matching, it can match simple words or even certain phrases, regardless of case or random characters inbetween the words in the phrase should it be required. Nice and simple. Trouble was the simple little edit Hapa made just so happened to be a certain set of control characters that broke the match part of the expression, reducing the input of the language filter to a blank string, hence no language anywhere yet no yellow censored words as would normally appear. |

Well it was hardly Hapa's fault really... he just happened to trigger a fault in the language filter. I know some people who would blame people for less but anyone with a brain can logically see it wasn't his fault

The last redesign back in 2005 dropped the Unified system and I recoded from scratch for the most part. This entire site (PHP wise) is my own work although I'm sure there are still a few lines of code here and there that are still Tricords code copy/pasted from the old system. |
