The mod is compressed with winrar and weighs in at 65 MB's
it's only takes 40 minutes to send through msn if you have high speed internet. |

Why not upload it somewhere instead...? It doesn't seem very practical to send it via MSN. |

As far as I know it doesn't matter what speed you have above 512Kb/s, MSN limits the speed of upload through transfers.
But yea, go to FileFactory.com, FileFront.com, or wherever. |

Why does msn do that though?  It's a direct p2p connection and doesn't share msn resources.. ISN'T IT?

Well, I'd assume that way if you are sending pron to a friend then MSN executives could easily mooch off your bandwidth a bit by 60%(50Kb/s) while limitting your uploading to 10Kb/s to download the pron you are sending before your friend gets it |

It may just be the protocol they use. Most chat clients have really bad transfer rates because they are mostly used for text. |

Count me out then, I don't want to go download MSN just to play a beta, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. |

Agreed. If you can't spend a small amount of time uploading to an actual file hosting server for people to enjoy, then there is no reason to even try and publically advertise a mod of any means.
And of all things, MSN.... XFire would be better if you were trying to pull this off, as you can uncap upload/download rates.
Just go to YouSendIt or FileFactory.... If you are serious about this, then follow suit and take a more professional approach by accomodating faster download speeds for the masses. |

I understand what you mean but really all i was trying to do was get at lest one person to log on to msn and help me test the mod in MP, and beside if i was to upload it to a fileshairing site that would not been a fet me any, because to day alone i have moddified and tweaked with my mod more time then i can count. there for, what ever version i upload to one of these site would give whoever downloads it a (file not compatable match) when thay would try to join in a match with me . why you ask would this happen? because buy the time someone where to find and download the version i uploaded i would hav proble already tweaked my mod, (i am a verey impatent persion) I only keep two version of my mod at a time, not every sinlge version from ever single change i have made (my hard drive would run out of room quick)

Well wouldn't work now anyway, i'v got another broken animation stoping MP from loading, maby trying to max out the weapons selection (max is 32) isn't agood idea after all...
hate to see what happens when i try to add new sounds |

So, the better option is to make everyone helping you test wait 40+ minutes every time you make a minor tweak? Sorry, but I fail to see the logic here. |
