I'm having some problems getting the cutscenes to run after loading in a level with seamless loading that contains a cutscene.. The cutscene which worked before without seamless
loading, now refuses to run. These are single player custom maps.
When I go in and out of levels and the level loads in, when I backtrack to the previous level again, all the enemies out of half the level (the half that was portaled have mysteriously dissapeared.) While the other half of the map still has all the enemies still running about. I can see now why this game is limited when doing outdoor levels.. This game works best with small rooms.
4) Vehicles: Trying to get the Driller and the Spaceship to move from A-B-C-D in a waypoint loop is not working. The vehicles will ping pong back and forth from A-B navpoints but not go to C-D and ping pong is not even set in the waypoints event or in the vehicle settings, I checked the navpoints, they are not doubled clicked either. But for some reason they are not moving through all the navpoints and the vehicles in question just do this strange rocking back and forth.
Here;s the levels in question. This outdoor one is stretching Red to its limits.....

Red is beginning to annoy me.
Looks like Seam Loading is out.
Put the driller and spaceship on a keyframe?
Oh but that is so crude! We want the AI to react, not be a moving statute. |

You can go to the previous levels in red faction.
It is even possible to set point of no returns.
The levels only need the proper naming format, I recommend using the level names of Red Faction and make a mod of it. |

Seems to me that you've found it anoying since you started - since that's when you began complaining.
Oh, and from now on would you mind taking screenshots that are bigger than 320x240? You know, so we can actually see what's going on? |

Depending on how long you make your SP campaign you will need to turn your campaign into a mod with a modified ponr.tbl
this table records which levels to save together when you save the game. too many levels will result in a break of the RF saving functionality. so only group levels together in groups of 3 to 4. If your campaign is over 3-4 levels and you quicksave your way along you will notice the saving starting to act strange after the 3rd or 4th level. Probably causes oher problems as well... |
