Most of them look like cheap Windows Movie Maker video effects (just in realtime..and somewhat not smooth) Window closing results in a magical particle spam, which doesn't even look good. And ubuntu is linux for the one's that want to start with linux.. not really a distro where you will stay all the time (if you like linux/unix).
