The "weapons jam" bug you speak of is actually the RF projectile limit. It is not a set amount of players that causes the limit to be hit, but the number of projectiles in existance at once.
I am well aware that it's the projectile limit. the problem is at this point, all i know is it will not happen with only three players on a server at once. example the smg shots green lazers. if all three people just aim at the sky and start shooting. the weapons jam bug never arises. but what is say six people where shoting? or 16? or 32? at exactly which point will the amount of player shoting visable projectils cause the weapons to jam

This is actuly a simple math problem...

Say i have the SMG shoting 24 vizable lazers per second. and the life of the projectiles is set to 2 second. with this equation set. it's gar-en-ted to cause your weapon to jam.

Now lets reset the numbers to. say 14 lazers per sec with a life of 0.7 now you can shot all day long without worrying about your gun gaming.

Now what happen if you have two SMG's fireing at the same time?

14 x 2 = 28 which we know will cause your weapons to jam

Now i beleave i have all vizable projectil weapons set to render no more than five projectils at any given time with a life of only 0.6. which is just long enough to reach the long streatch of the canyan. however being that i was never able to test my mod with more than two othere people. i do not know if my math will work for a full 32 player server? which is what i would like to achive

P.S. Strange problem¿¿¿ my mod, even the official test version will not let me load up any maps without crashing to desktop. At first i though is was my starting weapon so i just made it blank. but the mod is still crashing. the only thang i can think of is that i resently updated my xp pro to service pack 3. all other mods work fine, and i know i did not release a non-workable version of my mod to the public. this is a compleat mystery¿¿¿

i should not have woke up this morning. i mean how stupid can i be. i was trying to run my oficial test build of the mod starwar CENSORED .vpp with the now build still sitting there starwar CENSORED n.vpp. if you have more than on vpp in the mod folder the rf will read both of them. i know this and yet there i was. being stupid. hopfuly tomarrow will prove to be a much better day. and i can compair my test version to my current build and see the codeing that i meesed up on ( I already know which tbl's are missed up i just do not know the extent of the damage ) then the real work starts. bug checking. cleaning up useless code, and cleaning up useless models, animations, and wav files. realy not that much is left. but i am going to take my time. so it'l be done when it's done. no sooner no later

Not exactly, have you ever just had one oce those days where every thing just went wrong. I like to refer to those type of days as "The referse midas touch" where every thang you tuch turns to xxxx but today is much better. i'v fixed the tbl's. now to finish adding more weapons, bug checking, change all sp HUD messages to my story (best i can do without an SP mapper) bug check, replace all NPC sound with those from star wars jedi outcast and academy, bug check, clean up usless code, bug checking, clean out useless models, bug check, clean out useless animations, bug check, clean out useless sounds, bug check, stress test, stress test, stress test, bug check, optimize mod to play on low end pc's, bug check. and finaly release.

Why don't you try www.megaupload.com. You can upload a 500MB file for absolutly free, all is required for the downloaders is a link, then they enter 3 letters into a box for confirmation, and wait 45 seconds before downloading the file for free.

Im not sure how long they keep the file on there, but im sure they keep it on there for a long time. check it out.

On another note, you have mentioned the word "Bug Check" to many times. Why don't you make everything first, and at the very end, do a bug check. that will get the mod going quicker.

Thankx for the link spikey, but filefront works just fine. both time thay keeped my mod up for a maxamum of four month's. my only problem is that i do not check my e-mail that oftin. filefront send you a message stating that thay have you file in que for deletion and that if you do not want it deleted, you may just remove you file from there deletion que. of which you have ten days to do this. both time i did not notice this till way after the fact :O

I have to bug check my work. case in point. when i just added three new weapon at the same time i failed to notice that all three of the where refrencing the same...

You have an add a new fpgun entry for each weapon, then copy each entry into EACH CHARACTER in pc_multi.tbl. Now you know why many people release mods that are only compatible with Parker.

Why go through that trouble of removing a deletion que from one of your files you uploaded, when you upload it to megauploads and they dont send you crappy mails like that.

Doing that means you eliminate a small problem and doesn't waste your time.

Your not thinking very logical here kid.

I know how to add new weapons Also when i add new weapons i only add the to parker to start with. but for some reason multi is still crashing¿¿¿ I'v ran ito this problem befor and it won't be long befor i have 30 weapons to choose from

I never intended for the test version to stay up for ever any way so i'm not that worried about it, besides once you remove it from que the first time you can the add your file to filefronts perminat database which i will do once i finally have my mod close to where i want it to be.

Question, can anyone guess what would happen if a projectile was set to sticky, with 100% percing power, and a Mass of 999.999? the damage of corse would be set to a real low ammount (like 10 )

Just wondering if this would hel creat the illusion of force push. I allready have a working version of force push, basicly when you get hit in buy another player you get knocked back a few feet, but i would like to see it push you clear acrose the room, or at lest enough to cause disorintation
