Hi Everyone:

I was just gettign ready to install MOH Allied Assault.. and kept getting a CRC check.. Now i have the original CD's and the key as well.. But my second cd is scratched beyond repair .. i tried to make a backup copy, and the Pak2.pk3 in the main folder will not copy.. It will get almost all the way and then stop and gives the me crc error.

Does anyone have an original Pak2.pk3 file posted anywhere?

No, you can't get banned for mentioning it, when are you guys gonna stop feeling so oppressed by this world?

BitTorrent is a perfectly legal protocol. Laws are made by men who are greedy and want more money, who blame you for supposedly stealing their content. (refer me to Tricord's old post about infinite complexity), in reality you can't really copyright anything, because anything is possible.

Now, I'm sure you would get slated by the staff for linking to a torrent site though.

I personally don't see anything wrong honestly in torrenting a movie/game that you do in fact own if a disk is scratched beyond repair or so. But if you were to download without owning the game to begin with, then it is illegal.

That's because there isn't anything wrong with it. As far as I know its perfectly legal to keep copies of things you already own, and torrenting is simply downloading a copy.

I still think everyone should stop all this talk of torrents, though, as simply saying "I bought the game" doesn't warrant proof of purchase.

Lanshire, are you sure a CD-Repair Kit can't fix the scratches on your CD?

For better or worse, you are on your own with torrents and limewire.
