yeah thats right, the only cable provider is Vrigin Media, and like i said, I live with my dad, so if i wanted a diffirent ISP, it would be his decision, not mine.
I cant wait until July so I can tell virgin media to stick there isp as its when my contract expires, as they have cut my 8mb speed down to 512kb and I was told its between 4pm and 1am I told virgin media over the phone its because they cant cope with the volume of customers they have. they don’t have enough equipment. This sales person on the phone told me 512kb should be enough to browse web pages well its not as its slower than dial up days, I would be faster going back to dial up. But there is nothing you can do as it’s a years contract.
But if they are telling you that your internet connection speed has been reduced because they cannot keep up with demand then they are in breach of contract and must offer you the right to terminate that contract with no monies owing to them.
