D2K, you kinda missed the point dude, the only cable provider in the UK is Virgin.

yeah thats right, the only cable provider is Vrigin Media, and like i said, I live with my dad, so if i wanted a diffirent ISP, it would be his decision, not mine.

BUT, what you are seemingly forgetting, in order to have ADSL, you will have to have a BT telephone line.

Cable is the way to go...

This sales person on the phone told me 512kb should be enough to browse web pages well its not as its slower than dial up days, I would be faster going back to dial up. But there is nothing you can do as it’s a years contract.



But if they are telling you that your internet connection speed has been reduced because they cannot keep up with demand then they are in breach of contract and must offer you the right to terminate that contract with no monies owing to them.
