(after trying some mods it crash3d like 4ever...) Now I installed it again, everythings fine, BUT I can not upgrade to V1.2 anymore! The patch does not want to be installed. It says, that it could not find the original RF data - but it is there!! Could be the tables.vpp or RED.exe or RF.exe that is broken as well. Like delete the C://games/RedFaction folder itself? (saving maps & such to another location beforehand ) Then re-install? I'm not sure if that'll help, just puttin' it out there. I had this problem yesterday when I had to reinstall. The files were not deleted when I uninstalled and I had to physically delete the files (except the usermaps). Worked fine after that. Un-install Red Faction 2. Reboot the PC 3. Delete the main Redfaction folder 4. Re-install Red Faction 5. Update the game 6. Play game or keep mapping, which ever you prefer to do first. Edit: If you decide to reinstall the game, delete the 2 keys in the registry that relate to Red Faction. They are: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Volition & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Volition If you "delete" the main Red Faction folder manually then "delete" these 2 keys also. >Click Here< If You Don't Have a Social Life :/    Modified Dec 7th, 12:33am by NoClanFrank jan_the_mean   Posted 7th Dec 2007 12:37pm L4Y Member Post 104 / 153 Puhh I was trying the registry-thing. Deleted the keys, but still it says: "There was an error processing the patch: Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match" Horrible! I keep trying, maybe you still have some other ideas...? EDIT: ahhh!
