I can't believe it...

Steve was a good guy that I knew through his passion for Red Faction not so much his music.
Never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Muse and the kids when you do read this be assured that not many people in this world leave impacts on many other people outside their own families... but Steve did.
I played Lotsa's lounge more then any other map and spent countless hours in there!
Be proud of the fact that much of his life was spent doing the things he loved most such as his family, game mapping and playing music, his only reward was knowing he'd made others happy doing the things he loved.

One day you'll look back, past this dark period of your lives and realise that he did what he wanted to do to the full, but at the same time caring about those people closest to him. Not many can say that.

My heart goes out to you.

Yeah It definitely sux mate, I'm 25 hours flying time to London , My passport expired some time ago , so I will be unable to Attend .

But rest assured I'll be flying over early next year , Hopefully we can all get together ? I was making the trip anyway , Just a shame that I have to visit Steve's place of rest instead of his lounge this time.

BTW : If you want Muse's Phone number have no hesitation to PM me !

Don't really know what to say except I'm really sorry to hear this news. My deepest sympathy goes to Mrs Muse and her son. I really wish I had met Steve in person as we used to have a lot of fun playing each others maps and chatting on msn. We haven't really been in touch with each other for well over a year now and I really regret that.

I wish I could have met him or at least played a game with him. His maps are so creative. To my surprise I booted up some maps I played years ago, and just recently I found out they were by him too.

This guy was a superb artist in many respects and the world is darker without his luminosity.

I've watched this thread closely from the moment it opened. It's so nice to see just how many people were touched by Steve and the kind things that everyone has been saying about him. A lot of you talk about your love for him as a mapper, whereas many of you remember him for the hours of his time he gave to you helping with RED editor. The most endearing element here is that the majority of you regarded him as a friend.

This is because he was a really good guy; a generous, friendly, good-natured, caring and charming bloke.... Needless to say I don't need to tell you that.

I met Debbie and Steve long before they got me into RF and have spent many hours in their wonderful company. Mapping, chatting, playing, chilling... I've got some great memories.

I love them both and I still see them as one.

Rest in Peace my friend x

When you meet people on the Internet it's just not the same as in real life. You usually don't get to see a face or even hear a voice, but even so you connect to them in ways that you don't fully appreciate until that connection is broken. I didn't really know Sir-Lots-A-Pot that well. I had a few brief conversations and a few laughs and yet I feel that broken connection very strongly. Maybe a lot of that is from the community that surrounds L4Y and so the loss of one of its members has a big impact.

I'd just like to add my condolences.
May God bless his family in their time of loss.
