I bought Crysis yesterday (I didn't hesitate for one second when I saw it in the store  ) and man...this game is so ultra cool.
If you can, get it. Forget everything else  The story which I've seen so far is told very atmospheric, there are many sequences with special effects and extremly good animations, lip sync and voice actors.
Fighting never becoms boring, the nano suit allows so many different ways to kill the bad guys, and the weapons are awesome 
My recommendation: Buy Crysis
The graphics is just godlike, nothing can compete with it. |

Ive bought Crysis and so far, the game has really put a suprised expression on my face. Everytime I see something cool happening, I go WOW!
This game has defently hit the top notch of all graphics and realism.
Its a shame my computer cannot handle this game on high graphics  |

My computer can barely play this on very high but it still looks nice on high 
I might get me another 8800gt later this month so that the game works good on very high |

You can play Crysis on very high only with Windows Vista and a dx10 compatible graphics card. The improvements to dx10 aren't big, though.
I play Crysis on everything High, 1280x1024 some AA and AF and it looks extremly awesome.
I'm done with SP but multiplayer has yet hooked me for tons of hours.
Crysis this week: 24 hours overall: 24 hours
All I can say is awesome The story was so nice, and the great multiplayer part of Crysis is a big positive suprise to me. (you can buy weapons, control points etc)
Today, on the cover on a games magazine I had to read the line "Crysis vs Half Life 2 Orange Box - Which one is top game of 2007"
Sorry but this is a really dumb question. Crysis is quality in every aspect. There is no reason to mention the orange box anyway, there are many other great games  the hype is trying to get you! |

Frog - In all fairness... I would take Orange Box over Crysis any day. Having said that, Crysis is AWESOME, but Orange Box is better.
Another game I've recentally been looking into and playing the demo for is UT3. I know you don't like it - But I think its absolutly fantastic. I only noticed one thing which I didn't like. That was the fact that the only vehicle you can carry a flag in is a HoverBoard... |

Now this sounds like another joke to me, made by Microsoft.
I wonder how much companies like Microsoft have to pay to make game companies add some limitations which apparently can only be "disabled" by using their software Windows Vista.
Sometimes it's whole games that just doesn't run on any other OSs..I think MS does always have it's fingers in those affairs.
Today I had to find out that it's possible to get graphics in Crysis with dx9 that come very close to those with dx10. Dx9 already does feature many of those "Very High" effects. Crytek only has disabled them for Dx9 users (Windows XP) to make the difference much bigger to the "almighty Vista" (Dx10)
I had some testing a few minutes ago, finally my graphics card gets some work to do in Crysis Just when you think the graphics are almost on it's limits....it just gets much better with a few different hidden settings.
Great..now I have to play the whole game again
The only problem I have with this is that Profiles don't use different graphics settings (for multiplayer for example)

oh and that was no offense against Crytek., only MS
Why do they do it? Can't they just be playing a fair game and not only looking after profit at any cost. I'm sure it would work it they played fair.

Eh no problem.
I am wondering why there are these people yelling saying their lates intel core 2 quad extreme overclocked processors with SLI nvidia geforce 8800 Ultra with 4 gigd of RAm are complaining that they cant run the game on very high at ridiculous resolutions when cevat yerli the maker of crysis said that to run crysis on everything maxed you have to wait a few years coz technology is a year behind it. |

I thought the AI was supposed to be good.
Looked below average in the video.
Other then that looks and plays pretty much like I expected. |

I really don't think Crysis is the best game there is... I mean sure it may be ultra realistic, but only if you have a powerful enough pc to run it at max settings. Also, the gameplay to me wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It seems like to me, that they put much more work into visuals, and just trying to make the game look good, than the actual gameplay itself. But don't get me wrong though, Crysis still is a good game.  It's just not as great as they said it would be... |

To a new addition to my dedication to this new awesome game, I have purchased an ATi Radeon HD 3870 x2 1GB Graphics card for £244 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-091-HT
Now the game plays in high graphic settings with no problems at all. Not even a jump here or there.
I am happy with my new card, and I would recommend anyone who has the money, to buy ur self one of these great graphics cards.
The main specification to this ATi 3870 x2 is that it is a dual cored graphics card, to deliver great performance. This card is just a 1x PCI-E graphics card, but to get the 2 cores working, its technically cross-fired on one board. It can also be cross-fired with another graphics, the same model of course, to get even more better graphics performance.
I would recommend that if you were to purchase this card, make sure you have enough room in your computer to install it, as it is VERY huge as shown below in my computer.
As you can see, the graphics card consumes my whole friggin case .
