It's not a stripped down version, it's a fully functional Multi-Only version of RF for 150mb. If i remove all the textures... its less than 50... Perhaps even small than that. If you really want a small multiplayer compatible version of RF it's possible to shrink the size to around 20MB, perhaps even smaller, with heavy impact on the graphics and no sound (or probably only the very neccessary sound) of course. But who want this? Nobody. It has been said that those light version with no textures have no impact in the gameplay...they sure do have an impact in the gameplay, the visuals extremly change. ¤ MARS WARS 3! - Red Faction revamped on the unreal engine.
