Gentlemen, I'm asking for any suggestions and advices that could help me to solve my problem. I made a level in MaxED 2. In that level I have several static meshes which consist in link-up with each other (I mean they are touching each other by some face), and when I'm calculating the lighting I'm getting weird result which looks really bad because it seems like lightmaps on each mesh are turned to different directions. Speaking in other words I get a mesh formed from few other meshes and lightmaps on that big mesh are not smooth but kinda sharp and I see their borders inside face of big mesh. So what should I do to get rid of that and to make lightmaps smooth. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Guys, you will be laughing but I really can't register on 3DRealms forums They simply don't send me an authorization code so I can't authorize my account But I'm still checking this forum from time to time
DanTheMan, if it's not hard for you to ask that question then please do it. Thank you in advance
Thanks, Dan! Hope somebody could help us with that problem
Ouuuuu shooot! I just understand that I made a big mistake in my question! I wrote "several static meshes" but actually I have them dynamic. Sh*t! Sorry guys, my bad...
Yes, I have found the solution! You just need to use "Ray Tracing" function for the objects. And after recalculating the lighting you won't see any borders or edges on the mesh which was built from other meshes. But in that case lighting calculation takes approximately twice more time than before
