I already read the posts about this topics here, but so far nothing helped. Capt. Toiletbrush!     Spikey2005   Posted 22nd Jul 2007 12:49am L4Y Member Post 752 / 2126 Changing sounds on your own side of Red Faction will not affect it in anyway or make your RF modded. Important Notice, Make a Backup of Audio.vpp otherwise Changes will not be able to be restored To simply change the sound of the clicking noise is to simply Find it. You can use the Descent Manager tool for VPP's. Click the Link to download. I recommend this one as this allows you to click on sound files within a vpp and plays it. Open up Audio.vpp into the VPP Builder program. Find the sound you wish to replace with a different sound. Once you have found it, note the name of the wav file. (Copy the name to clipboard, Write it down etc..) Find the sound you wish to replace the orginal with and rename it to the exact name of the one your replacing. (The one you copied to clipboard or wrote down) Drag the new sound into the VPP builder. Click the Save button. (Usually a Floppy disk Icon) Now your good to go! Your new sound will now play in Red Faction without running any mods. Check me out on Youtube www.youtube.com/themudkiphut     goober   Posted 22nd Jul 2007 12:54am L4Y Member Post 5324 / 265 While Spikey's way will work fine, if you're using 1.3 or Lazyban130, you will not be allowed to play RF with modded game files such as audio.vpp. Dont ask me why, i didnt write it To add a new sound without modding default game files, just add a sound by the same name to a blank vpp and save it in your single or multi folder. I can think of about 3 ways acually The thing is, 1.3 is also not very welcome to server-side mods (though i can see why) Plus hardly anyone uses it anymore....
