Hinted at over time and in a recent thread - Category Reorganization. I have considered this very carefully for quite a while now and I would like to propose the following arrangement:
• Capture the Flag - Original, leave intact except for single weapon maps.
• Deathmatch - Original, leave intact except for single weapon maps.
• Demo - Original, leave intact.
• Map Packs - Original, perhaps remove antiquated map packs and examine and rescue unique maps from them.
• Mapping Competion - Remove for now until new competition, existing maps to be redistributed to proper Categories.
• Maps for Mods - Split into two and eliminated, one for Mod Maps[CTF] and another for Mod Maps[DM].
• Modifications - Split into Mods[Client Side], Mods[Server Side] and Mods[Full Conversion].
• One Weapon Maps - Possibly split into CTF and DM.
• Patches - Original, leave intact except for a couple files to be distributed in more appropriate Categories.
• Skyboxes - Rename RED[Skyboxes].
• Tools - Split some files into RED[Textures], RED[Groups] and Tutorials.
• Wallpaper / Misc - Original, leave intact except for a couple files to be distributed in more appropriate Categories. |

I like the categories, a lot of 'em, but it helps. Just gotta get use to it ^_^

How would you get into the subcategories? There is nothing like that on l4y yet.
Or are you going to create all those categories as main ones?
Either way I like it. |

Also Hapa, there's a number of One Weapon Maps just stuck into the CTF/DM categories... |

I voted Yes. but i do think there should be a video section. i wa s thinking about some RF movie in flash. allready saw one about Red Faction on Newgrounds. but it never got finished.
i dont think Mapping competition should be apart from other maps.
there should be a category named "Tribute to Ghostkid" . and make stuff for Me !  |

Yes I committed a breech of protocol - I will admit that and will proudly accept the consequences.

Since this was already in the public domain - I kept it in the public domain.
