a way to stop the fusion!?
impossible!!!!!
no no there is a way and i have found it
last night in dinner is served
zergling and i discovered that a shield will save u from a fusion blast under the following conditions:
the shield must be facing the point of impact
you must not be directly hit
amazing isnt it
maybe shield will start showing up in more maps |

Maps with fusions and shields only would be very funny.

Even if it is possible under certian circuimstances, it's considered glitching because i feel volition did not intend for a measley plastic shield to stop a fusion rocket launcher. Most players and servers dont condone glitching.
so there... |

Rather than call it a "glitch" I would consider this occurence a fluke.
The Riot Shield is a great device, however I have my doubts that a fusion wouldn't evapourate a player weilding a Riot Shield.
In the default Single Player game, I have used the Riot Shield against the Super Large Robot. You may recollect Gryphon is with Parker and the player has to lure the robot over the large floor door. Anyhow, one swipe of the robot's arm is suffecient to kill a player but with the Riot Shield, you can survive up to two swipes.

Is looking away from the fusion blast also a glitch as that has worked for me for years.............not 100% gurantee of safety mind you but it does appear to up your chances.
O and by looking away I don't mean away from your monitor and watch TV instead. I mean face opposite direction of Fusion Blast.......................B 4 some1 states the obvious |

Has anybody noticed that the riot shield doesn't work properly if you get it by typing in bighugmug? ...
it seems that bullets aren't stopped by it ...
maybe you have to pick up the shield for it to work rather than typing it in ...
Or maybe the riot shield simply increases your chances of survival ... by reducing effective distance of the fusion  |

If anyone has ever joined my server, which i only host on days when i want to blow up mapes then you would know that what Unborn-demon is true.........

....................... True that is if you are using the NANO SHIELD. which i allways have on my server.... just wish people who join could see it  i just hat having to prove it to them buy saying...

actually let me explain the circumstance under which (what i dont want to believe was a glitch) occured
Zergling, (I think ITCH was there also), and myself were playing kerpal's marauder
in the roof where the fusion is, up on the ledge with the two doors , they were duking it out and for some reason Zergling was sporting a shield
So i let a fusion fly , ITCH gets blown away and Zergling was right next to him, but didnt even get hurt
So we test it out, first he hits me directly with the fusion while i have the shield, and i die, then we try shooting the wall in that same room again, 5 or so feet from my position while im holding a shield, not a scratch on me, we then tested it a few times over, so i dont believe its a glitch |

If it's not in the game, there is probably a way to mod RF to make it work. It would turn the riot shield from a useless gadget into the ultimate antifusion weapon.
Just revamp a bit the weapons and make them more balanced.
Maybe it could be a server side mod that apply to all the players, no? |
