How would I go about taking a custom tree created in RED and converting it to a clutter object so I can use it a bunch of times without racking up the faces, verticies, face verticies, etc and not have to replace an already made clutter object so it doesn't mess up any other maps? or is this not possible like most things in RED?
Can't do it unless you make that tree a v3d or vfx and stuff it into a mod vpp. Any other method would override stuff, or have undesired behavior. You probably don't want that.

Hmm is there any clutter objects that don't work so they would be safe to override? I've never gone through them all but knowing RED theres gotta be a couple that don't work.

ya got 3ds max? just make it thru that then refer to a tutoria on redtech on how to make it go to 3ds max. saves brushes big time
A couple of the tram light objects don't work properly and create errors. Maybe you could replace one of those if you really want to. Keep in mind, though, that if someone else replaces that mesh one of the two won't work correctly...
Add any clutter object into RED, go to its props. then cycle through the names till you see a name you don't recognise from RED's lists. Chances are it isn't in the game
To test you can change to that name/object, save then test to see if RF crashes lol.
I would download CTF-LunarCastleSE by REDFROG first, as he has replaced a good number of RF's "missing meshes". You dont want to use the same ones as him, as that would only cause problems and confusion.
