would it be possible to make a whole level in 3dsmax and the export to asi and import to maxed?

because with 3dx ripper u can rip everything from a game. and i was thinking how cool would it be to use the hard boiled scene from the path of neo (based on the hard boiled movie openeing scene with chow yun fat as detective tequila) to shoot alot of bad guys in?

Dude, it's possible and that's exactly how I made UltraViolet Library level for EQ Gunkatas v3.0
BUT!!!
I don't think that you'll be able to export the level in that case (if you take it with 3dx ripper) to .asi and/or use it in maxed 2 properly because there is A LOT of things, problems & troubles that you should know and remember every time you use 3ds max for MP2 mapping (such as scaling, rotating, boolean operations). But of course you can try Nice idea!

okay but could i load up max paynes model and then scale the level to fit max payne and then believe its the right size?

I advise you not do it. Later in maxed 2 you just won't export your level properly to .ldb. You will get an error "object is concaved or flipped" which you couldn't correct. It will happen if you make a scale for any trimesh in 3ds max

hmm i dont know maxed anyways but maybe i will give it a shot just for fun
when i import it then i will have to create something so he doesnt go through the ground right ?

Well you definitely must create 2 rooms connecting with portal. One of this rooms should be a start room for the level and your .asi trimesh (the level which you exported from 3ds max) should be grouped to that room I suppose
Try and tell me what error you get (you will get one - I promise )
