Hello Red Faction Community.
Me and goober have almost come to final completion of the Command n Conquer mod for Red Faction.
We would like to request a few Beta testers for this mod so that me and goober can put together a Video Trailer Teaser for the community to see what is up coming and what to see in this mod.
We still do not have an exact date of completion but we have created enough to have 2 Beta testers.
The first 2 people to post in this forum, will be part of the Beta testing Along with me, Goober and 2 other members.
In total, that will be 6 people playing and testing while me and goober are recording video's at the same time.
To make life Easier, please make sure you can be online on Saturday 14th April 2007 Standard United Kingdom time.
The 2 first people to post on this thread, we will require you to have Xfire installed on your computer and also you will need a Microphone to speak.
If you do not have any of the above, then it would be pointless you applying for Beta testing.

I would love to test, let me finish my vista installation (another damn virus) and I will be ready to go. I will be up and running by the end of today or early tomorrow

i would love to test but like MR.HZ has implied do we really need xfire if we have other IM services? also my mic has stoped working. dodn't know why.
P.S. did i read that somone is installing vista? guess this means you need two more people then? |

Nah, my computer errored from installing a burning software, but I am installing Vista today, it will be MORE than ready for saturday
(BTW, just to get this off my chest, WINDOWS VISTA SUCKS!  )

Why are you installing Vista?
Darth, as far as i am aware, RF is compatible with Vista.
You need XFire so you can be on voice chat with your team durring the test. |

ok Folks, we are using Xfire because its easier and 85% of the users we have already are using Xfire aswell. So please, Mr.Hz can you install Xfire and PM either me or goober your new Xfire user name as soon as your sorted, that would be great . |

RF IS compatible with and Vista, and, as I said earlier Goober, my computer got a virus from installing a burning software, and I have to reinstall Windows Vista because "winload.exe" errored, which, for those who know nothing about that file, it explains it in the filename, IT WILL NOT LOAD WINDOWS! , so yeah, it'll be better by tomorrow morning ^_^

If it wher me and my version of vista just had an unrecoverable crash from one simple virus, and the only way to fix was to reinstall vista. i'd switch back to win xp so fast... that i can't even describe how fast it would be.
now being that the comunity know someone with vista. we can start to ask some question
question one: sence you'v had vista exaclt how stable would you say it is? (scal of one to ten, one being never crashes ten being crashes as long as my eyes ar open)
question two: is it posable to install and play old dos based games without thierd party software (games like quake one, doom one, castle wolfinstine, and deer hunter one.... yes i ackuly own the retail cd's of thes games)
TO MODS: pleas to not lock this threed this is the first time we might actuly get some real answers about windows CRA... err i mean VISTA |
