RF-Xmod run with LazyBan130 but it have nothing to do with this, I just give the 'players_xmod.cfg' with the RF-Xmod installer…

Tweak overall controls settings…
- give more sensibility on the mouse
- Replace the Enter 'use button' for standard FPS E
- Same thing for Left ctrl crouching
- Weapons shortcuts
- I’ve change the T, Y talk key because of Weapons shortcut, now Enter=Team, Backslash=All
- Better weapons priority
- Give a welcome Default mod name…
When users add a new mod to RF it create another .cfg with the default RF controls, the players customization controls is already reseated… It can be to change the auto-switch weapon priority of weapon like DARTH JOKER say for a better overall manipulation or also due to damage change...

1- I agree for 1 thing, is less manipulation for users, but you need to modify the Default file ui.vpp that I think is not a clean manner to do mod...
2- Is same thing for HL-mod, but maybe it have a bigger impact for you because you say me before that it take 2min to boot your Red Faction

Your not tweaking anything, your forcing your controls on everyone else, when i downloaded XMod, i personally deleted the cfg after seeing that you had totally screwed up the controls... |

You like the use button to Enter? lol 
The only thing RF fans can be annoy for is to found the new Talk keys and if there keyboard layout have a small 'Backslash' key. Is only a suggestion of settings that I think better, user customize there controls when add new mod anyway... I’m also very septic about if you have tested it and remark change about weapons priority. You are free to set your settings like you want but I can also try to give more responsive controls and I think are less annoying than default. I just wanted to answer about why give a 'player.cfg'...

Thats not even what he is talking about, he is talking about making a server property that resets everyones controls when they join.
BTW, I dont even use WSAD. I use the arrow keys, right ctrl for jump, right shift for crouch and ENTER for use. I also have alot of keys around it for what i want. Plus my mouse has 5 buttons, very useful for talk keys and reload. |
