So yeah, i came across a map i had, and i happened to get a vehicle into multi using RED. Now, its there, you can use the back gun, but you cant drive it. I wonder if it has something to do with a simple trigger to get the vehicle working or a complete code modification.
Map is DM - Far Fetch, here on L4Y.
If some of you are willing to experiment, give me your results.

I just downloaded the map, there is a jeep sure, but you cant do ANYTHING with it... Just like the trick that has been well known for the last year 
I dont see how you say anything about being able to use the jeep gun? |

Yep, these are getting lamer than me (which is pretty lame, you must say). RF's Geomod engine doesn't support MP vehicles. Simple as that! If it did, surely someone would've figured it out, or perhaps it would have out-of-the-box support (no modding necessary to drive the thing). The only "vehicles" that are possible in MP are if you recreate a player's model to look like a vehicle.
[sarcasm]If you want MP vehicles, make a UT mod or something. If you want Geomod with MP vehicles, make a new engine. It's not like it's rocket science (just computer science), and not impossible (if you have the money to purchase the Unreal engine, hire a team of programmers, and force them to code a decent "Geomod-like" engine). I'm sure that if you paid someone enough, they'd put up with being locked in a cage for months on end...[/sarcasm] |

IF I was a little younger then maybe I would be willing to experiment, you know like in my college years. Now I am at an age that I need something a little more permanent.

Maybe this topic could become a suggestion for Red Faction 3. You can see clearly that people want Vehicles in Multiplayer, so please can someone go and send an email to THQ or Volation or who ever the hell is making it lol and ask them to include Multiplayer vehicles. |

My source would not have any reason to make this up, he never even got into RF.

Yeah, this topic seems to boil warm 
Anyway I downloaded the "aidriver" sample level from redtech and atleast I could see that miner running around the freaking map.
Then I tried various methods to get that vehicle there and I noted that it drops through floor among other issues. So maybe volition disabled those on purpose to prevent insane high ammount of bug reports.
Anyway I checked rf.exe with hex editor and it refers many times to vehicles and there is few instances with "use_", however what it does practically is unsure for me.
And that player models to looklike vehicles is not a permanent solution...
Yeah well, maybe I need to start insist to get rf source code to create something good  . |

Negative. That mention of RF in their franchise list of largest money taken from the given games, RF has done exactly that. But there was NO confirmation of a Red Faction 3. |
