hmm the download is so slow 45KB/s
Also 2 other files (mp3s) were so slow to download..I hope its just the servers and not the connection.
I havent done any testing yet.
if donwloads were that slow..then how slow would be uploads?! |

if you are getting 45kb/s here at L4Y i wouldnt worry.
L4Y seems to shape downloads to half the speed your ISP allows, as for the mp3's it depends on where you get them from.
I cant think of a speed that is 90kb/s, or 45 kb/s.
Unless its 1Mb/512kb and you have a less then optimal connection (i.e. phone line) which doesnt allow the full speed.

DSL severely slows down when attempting multiple download tasks. One at a time is no problem at all, but due to low bandwidth multiple downloads will kill your connection. Keep in mind, while it's broadband, it's still over a low bandwidth telephone line. |

Not true, I get 800Kb/s+ from L4Y, and on good times 1,300Kb/s+. And on even better times, 1,800Kb/s So RAWR to you good sir! |

I took get speeds like Sobe. I can download large files in a matter of seconds.
REDFROG, I tend to play mainly in two servers. In Dinner is served and RedFaction.info
Both offer map packs or links for the files needed to play in that server server, just in case you need any levels.

Point well taken and noted. Me being poor, though, I have no money to donate and very little time to dedicate to staff. Unless I were given status due to a contest win or something I'm pretty much SOL on that. I don't mind, though. I rarely download anything over a few megs from here. |

it would seam as though i have a reasion to reinstall RF, i had a system crash back in december. and realy hav'n had time for gaming of any kind.....
(no my mod isn't dead just have to find a why to add more hours the the week day, or maby a clone.... |
