It most likely crashes multi if you're not using the default parker character. You have to make 2 extra armsets if you want a weapon to work with any character in multi.
Or you can 'cheat' and just copy and paste your armset twice (fp_mp.v3c for the machine pistol as an example) and rename one copy fp_mp_armA.v3c and another fp_mp_armB.v3c
The correct way to do it would be to model two other sets of arms and set them up the same way you do the parker ones (attach to gun mesh, rfbone them etc) then export them. The same animations are used by all armsets though so you only need to do those once. |

It is not a new weapon, it is the railgun model with a modified weapon property. |

Its a couple of properties, the easiest way to explain it is probably a rapid fire rail driver which fires.... other.... sci-fi objects...

Yeah, theres your problem right there.... You NEED to modify the fp_gun.tbl and pc_multi.tbl, and ADD the weapon entries. Really quite simple.
If you have added a new weapon, you take the name of your weapon as per based in weapons.tbl and paste the name in the new entries you make for each character's weapon capability.
The limit is 32 so have fun.    |

so if my weapon is named say "h" then i would HAVE to use "h_normal" ect...? If so, that is my problem.... I thought you just had to add it under whatever name you wanted... |

Yeah quite true.
Anyway player weapons are defined in pc_multi.tbl, weapons.tbl and fpgun.tbl. How those files work is easiest to see when you can see those next to each other.

now your problem i simple. you need to deleat your hplayer.cfg the cfg rembers all the weapons prier to the changes you made. once you'v erashed the cfg it's mace a new memery. i ran into this problem with my star wars mod lots of time..... even now, my back up is still good stupid RF hard coded CRA P |

y would any one want to post a reply to some about there gramer? espesaly if it is not what the topic is about. however would i serprize you to know that i sive in the good (not really that good any more) US of A and english is the only language i now. how ever when i took my sat's for college, aperintly i do not know it.

Ill correct just a select few of your "words"...

gramer = grammer
espeasaly = especially
serprize = suprise
sive = I have no idea...
now = know
how ever = however
Please please please learn to spell...
I spell a few words wrong here and there and sometimes forget some <'s>but you can still understand it. If you missed a part of grammer or a letter here and there it would'nt be a problem... But... You mess up at least 5 times per post...

Personally I thougth his grammar was fine. The following is a copy of a text sent to me on my phone:- Theres mre 2 it. she 4got i kne certain d8s like the scan she had at 11weeks. 4gt i hav pic. so getin dna tes dne. she aint getin away with playin me.
Now I really can't stand those kinda texts at least darth joker has tried to spell, which is better than those that can spell but are to lazy to type properly as per my example above. |
