Recently, I've created a model, but deleted the sources. Is there any way for me to import the .V3d/.V3M into 3DS max? |

I dont think so, v3d may be possible, but v3ms have been ccrunch-ed, they definatly cannot. |

So, there's no decompiler for .V3Ms then?
Because I also wish to extract some of the player models. |

There is no known decompiler, for the simple fact that v3ms are coded differently, it is not a .v3d anymore, it has been ccrunched. If there is a decompiler, no one knows about it |

Character models use v3c files. Static meshes use v3m->v3d. You should be able to get the v3d into max but to do that you have to first extract the v3d import that into RED as a brush then export that brush as a vrml. The vrml can be imported into 3ds if you have the plugins for 3ds max.
You can only use 3ds 4 or 4.2, you might be able to use 5.0 as I have heard that version works with the plugins as well.

To get the v3d into max if its not part of RF already you should put it in a vpp like the meshes.vpp, just make sure it doesn’t replace a current model. |

Well yes, but its not the model anymore, it is just a one-brush image of the file, the UVW maps, and textures will be lost. |

Yeah, you will have to retexture your model with the unwrap function in 3ds. |

No, but fortunately there is a way to retrieve it back.
Go to RED editor, go to MESH, import in (.* All Files) your .V3d file, select your mesh, and Export it as VRML.
If your lucky it may allow you to import a VRML in 3dsmax. |
