The answer was there are not-yet-approved reviews that are counted in the average but not yet shown as they havent been approved. P.S. I thought the ratings were read by admins before being submitted to the rate properly? It looks like the deleted review hasn't triggered the update however. Technically what should happen is the count is only updated with approved reviews.
