It seems like it I have lost everything on my Micro map. I can't open up my level anymore, and I can't load it in RF anymore, after first getting a "couldn't create packfile error" I restarted and could even open up the rfl anymore, the error i now get is the following:

I never heard of the Directory "c rojectsRF_PCvsdkbmpmanbmpman.ccp"
Hope someone can help me, or else it is probabbly time for me to definatly turn my back to RED |

You can send to me and I will try to open it.... But past that, do you have previous saves? |

Well no, I'm not to smart when it comes to making back-ups of stuff. (hmm maybe if I'm lucky I got a much older version on a DVD some were)
I added you to MSN (not sure if you might allready be in there) so I can send it to you and so you can see if you can open it, alltho I think the file has allready changed, and the VVP at least allready turned to a 0kb file, so that will mean I have to figure out which texures I have to send you allong with it.
edit:
Well it seems that i'm a bit smarter with making back ups than I thought. I just found an older version of the map on a DVD. alltho this means I still have to rebuild some stuff
So if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix my problem that would still be apriciated. |

MijnKamerPosterStoelBekleding.tg
I think that's the problem right there, bmpman I'd assume is short for bitmap manager and is part of RED/RF. Do you have a texture named MijnKamerPosterStoelBekleding in your map?
If so then it looks like something is wrong with it, hence the 'cannot determine bitmap type' part of the error
I'd move it out of the textures folder and have a look at it. |

Yeah I think that texure indeed has something to do with it. I guess its name is to long, but it allready screwed up everything in my latest version of that map. so I think i'll just have to rebuild what i created in the end, and don't use that texure anymore. |

Well I can't open up the rfl any more, so it gets a bit hard to replace stuff. |

The custom texture you have called MijnKamerPosterStoelBekleding.tg is indeed the cause of your problem...
Perhaps you should rename or remake that texture because its missing a on the end of it for tga.
Perhaps that file cause the error. Find the texture file, try and open it into Photo Shop or what ever Paint program you use and Save as... the texture with the correct format.
I hope that works for you!
I also noticed that in the error screen shot, that file is not a valid tga file with the symbols on the end. |

Open RED, and put it into "render everything see-through" mode, then load your map and replace the texture |

Also I would advice to check that is that file in real extension since if it is not, programs can't always handle files right.
Also filename has limits on it... or has special charts in name what are causing troubles. |

Quoting Mostertman | Yeah I think that texure indeed has something to do with it. I guess its name is to long, |
I too think thats the problem because my friend was working on a map before and applied a texture with a huge name then saved the map and was never able to open it again. |
