I was wondering if anybody would think that making a Happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa server over the one of the days of the christmas holiday would be a good idea ... I will have 3 weeks off for the holidays and i wanted to spend it wisely  . Also I thought we could make it a custom server with recent maps and holiday theme maps ...
Anybody think its a good idea? and anybody want to donate some server time? 
Edit: i decided to post this semi early because we have problems getting organized servers going even when we prepare a week ahead of time ... |

lol ... volunteering other peoples servers eh?
i think that it should have some christmas theme maps, but most of all i think it should have some recently made maps that are good, but never get played ...
to be honest, i don't want this to turn into the last RFU project where everyone wants to delay the server untill their map is done ...
i dont want to have a holiday server during may  ...
my suggestion is the deadline is a week before the server date ... if you can't make the deadline your map will not be in it ... |

actually, i started this topic because of the stuff i was seeing in the RF pimp my map forum ...
and everybody was saying, "i would like to get this stuff done by christmas ..." |

well my room will be Finnished probly in a few days depending if iam home to make it  so it will be done before x-mas
all i have to do is finnish the ipod the Ipod, add secrets and link up a few Tunnels
Ill be posting an overview of my map with out the tunnels and secerts |

possibly ... but id rather just do stuff that has come out recently ...
There are some maps that have come out that are pretty good, but never get played ... |

SNowd out should be remade, its a great idea for a mod but it wasnt carried out in the best way. Its not hard to make additional snowballs, its just differnt skins
ANyone offering to remake snowd out? Im willing to help out, but i cant do it myself.
Back on topic... Im working on a winter map, it shoujld be ready by the time the server is up
Heh, i was just playing some Snowd out, i remember it, i love it! We should revive this mod this christmas, if people start making maps for it then it may become a bit popular again...
I agree with pred saying that this server shouild run Snowd out 1.1. |

we still need a volunteer for a server ... and so far everyone interested is serverless  ...

Ok, yes that was a bit harsh, all i was saying is that it should be remade - well not nesicarily remade, just added to. Mabye a V1.2 with more snowballs? More clutter, more maps? It was just a suggestion man, dont take it so seriously

I may be able to get a server up by monday, if i have enough parts in my basement. Ill go take a look late today and see |

Actually, I was told that in v1.2 my idea was actually what they already had in mind. A snowball with a firecracker stuffed in it as a grenade. And a few other things. But it seems the 1.2 was never made 
I dunno, I'd be real interested in seeing a Snow'd Out v1.1 server up or so. I may even host one for the days before x-mas and after. |

i have a couple ideas in mind for a map, can't make promises though:
1) a map i can't even describe, but think space christmas
2) santa's slaveshop
3) or just finishing all the other maps that are about 20min away from being complete |

so ... is this the "happy holiday server"? or a different server? ...
Honestly, if you guys feel snowballs in a server would be better, who am i to say no?  ... im not even hosting the thing, i just gave the idea ... |
