Ive decided to take a little break from multiplayer mapping and switch on full gear to single.
In addition to the Half Life Faction mod i am working on with Spikey, ive decided to start a new Single Player Campaign called "Incursion".
The main plot outline is all thats in the CDC so far but i will be posting updates soon enough.
Please do tell me what you think!
Comments? Suggestions? Crits? Critiques? Im open!

How many projects is this now, gotta be somewhere around 36 right???
You realise you'll never finish this don't you? You start all these projects and never finish them, and you have to do a big announcement for each one. No one is going to care when you announce something as they know it will never be finished...  |

36?! where do you get that? I dont finish some projects, mostly multiplayer maps because it finally hits me that no one will play them. There is bigger demand for SP maps right now, so im taking that route. |

goober, maps are made by mappers not to be played, but as an accomplishment. My maps, I don't care if they are or are not played, I accomplished something I started to only dream about. |

that will be the day when i create a map based on what i think people will like. i create because i enjoy it and because i feel a certain sense of accomplishment with the whole process. if anyone else likes it, great, but i do it for myself because i want to... i have never released a map that i don't think was worth releasing...  i have dozens upon dozens of unfinished and finished maps rotting on my hard drive that will probably never see the light of day.
good luck with that SP map, god knows i never could quite make a half-way decent SP map.  |

I too make everything for me, but i enjoy Single and Multi equally, and ive never tried this style before.
I would personally rather map for Single, so im going to. Plus hardly anyone ever plays even the best multiplayer maps. Im not saying i wont map if people dont play them, im just saying if i can get someone to play them, im going to. |

I was thinking about that, havent quite decided yet.
The first mission consists of infiltraiting an office building completly undetected and killing the head of the business, hiding the body, and getting out of the building before anyone notices...
With that plot it could go either way, but im kind of leaning towards the "agent for the terrorists" kind of thing for this first mission.
Oh! I got an idea, your a terrorist undercover agent who has to do all these missions and then the government hunts you down to do work for them... How does that sound? |

Why do people always come up with these completely regurgitated plots again and again ...
its always you're a secret agent or a rebel or part of the military... why doesn't someone come up with something completely new for once?
Come on people, get creative ... do something completely different from all those other mods ...
like, make a mod where you are a pirate and you get to wield wicked-cool pistols, shoot cannons (reskinned turrent) and have swords ... while you sink their ship (geo modding) ...
Even being space pirates would be fun ...
Or make a mod with bubble helmets and ray guns ...
All im saying is that people lose interest in RF because of all the mods that are similar to each other or to other games ... |
