[Forum Rules]   Back to Forum Thread List jan_the_mean   Posted 9th Nov 2006 5:19pm L4Y Member Post 15 / 153 Hi, who can help me with this: I placed a trigger at the end of my SP-level_1, which should start level_2. I want the trigger to work only, when you ve got a keycard. I placed a keycard to find. I placed a switch, a trigger (Auto Trigger)and an event (next_level). But: the switch is not working! It stays red, even when you ve got the keycard... Trigger is connected to switch, event is connected to switch. I activated in trigger propertirs that a "use"-Key is required to activate trigger... I told in the same properties the UID # of the keycard... but it isnt working. Who can tell me, how to do this?? Put a trigger around the keycard, so that when you pick up the keycard, this trigger gets triggered also. Next, make your switch (next level switch) trigger into a mover, and have it innitally outside the level. Then, when the keycard trigger is triggerd, make that move the level switch trigger into the level. This works - I am shure, but maybe I am just too stupid to connect a trigger to a switch, which means I didn´t manage to do it, but I found another solution, which changed the storytelling of the level in a great way! But I keep on trying anyway thx a lot!
