Everyone I know that has had this issue has never been able to get around it. What you could do (which is planed for Ultor Corps) is have your intro bink video play from a launch panel and then have RF programmed to launch after the video has played.
There may be some kind of hidden feature having to do with Mac sound files. You might be able to work with that guy who has been converting wav sound to mac versions for peoples maps.
It might be that because RF is meant to run in windows and Mac that the Bik Files need to have mac sounds and normal avi videos. You should look into this if you don’t like the exe launching idea.
I've played around with Bink myself and could never get the sound working. The problem isn't the video, it's RF. As far as I know it refuses to play sounds on Windows or Mac.
no no what im saying is the trick may be to covert the wav sound file to the mac audio file and put those new mac sound files into the video stream when compiling the bik video.
You may need Windows98 or older to get this to work.
I found out that the original sound files have an old format which is not chooseable in the Audio Recorder of WindowsXP (anymore?)..
Or maybe its an old version of RAD tools you'll need.
But maybe its impossible to do that. Programmers may have modified the format themselves a little.

If the original sound files were the problem, wouldn't that make the entire game muted instead of just videos? Programmers modifying the format is probably the most probable theory I've heard so far.
