I just dled the demo of el matador and its amazing. I put this in the mp2 forum cuz it reminded me a lot of it except without the whole film noir thing and the comic stuff, but in gameplay except a little more tactical and sweet effects. |

I had played and completed it already.  What can I say? I expected a bit more from this game...  But I really like the graphics and such aspects as shadows, motion blur, explosions, water effects etc.  I like different levels of the game such as jungles, fabrics and port. And I really liked to play this with the language of my country  (BIG thanks to Russian publisher). The things that I didn't like is many crashes of the game, some bugs, not original gameplay and ending of the game (I didn't like it). 
Overall it's the good and fun game that worth to spend few evenings to play it. 
My rating is 4/5 |

I think it can. But I don't think so many people want to turn directly to this game. The computer's requirement is quite high. |

it doesnt have any mod tools available for it so although it may be possible to mod portions of the game, the game isnt exactly a mod friendly game(not like mp2 or hl2) |

Well, i tried the demo, i just say that i didn't enjoy it much.
Yes, the effects were great.
I put the high options, very laggy
I put the low options, still laggy ( i have a good comp)
Now i mean, cmon! The hgraphics on low were max payne 1 level and it still lagged!
The game werent really original ( bullet time/ The jumps: Max Payne, fine aim: The Punisher.) but i give it 3/5.
If you want the game your comp is old or you dont have money, make a MOD to max payne 2 that makes max roll after the sidejump.
Thats all. |

i had no problems with the demo's. by the way someone said that this game might be able to be modded? please do us the community a faver. and actuly try to mod the game.
SORRY didn't mean for that to sound sarcastic. but there was no other way to word it.
any who... if it really can be modded i will defanetly buy this game. |

theres no tools for it, however it may be possible to mod parts of it but theres not much point since what u could do wud be quite limited.
also after actually getting the game and playing through it i was a little dissapointed. it was pretty short and got a little repetitive |

Hmmm...I think the developer was running out of money. So they had to make it as fast as they can. Finally, el matador was the best they can give to you. I am beginning to think that it is actually an enhance of Max Payne 2 Engine. I don't know if it's true. But the only thing that makes it different from MP2 is the rocket launcher. |
