So I warned him about his actions in the server and that if he didnt stop he would get banned from server. Ok to make a long story short he got banned. A couple of seconds later he was right back in my server. I banned his ip address about 6 or 8 times finally I just shut down the server. So my question is how was he changing hi ip address so fast. or was he running some kind of script. Assaultman67    Posted 18th Aug 2006 1:07am Post 1596 / 4376 did he have a slow connection? if you have 56k all you have to do is reconnect and you get a new IP address ... ususally you have to wait a while, but if you disconnect and reconnect you usually get a new ip ... maddmaxx4   Posted 18th Aug 2006 1:18am L4Y Member Post 7 / 13 No He did not have a slow connection he was doing this within a matter of seconds. as soon as he got banned he was back in the server in a couple of seconds. Are u aware of any scripts that can be run in red faction. sobe    Posted 18th Aug 2006 1:23am Post 1869 / 3194 There ARE some programs that "refresh" your IP, and it sets you up with a new one. I believe Cain & Abel also does this In any case, he could have shut down RF, had the prog. running and changed his IP, then started RF and jumped on your server... Examples: 63.123.86.41 65.123.86.* 65.* Wildcards in the middle of the address are not valid. >Click Here< If You Don't Have a Social Life :/
