I am working on a new map , first one after a long time, and i am in need of some advice of how to create leaves. large ones.

You can create leaves using transparent textures with only the leaves,branches showing.. This is the method I used to create realistic trees in my map CTF_Wild_Snipe.

Use a Face brush and then copy it and rotate it so you get a cross so that it becomes viewable from all angles.



Here is what It looks like in game..



Of course you can get much different look by using different textures..



I got mine from RedFactionView Custom Trees download.

hmm thanks but of no use. i don't want leaves like that. i mean like imagine a micro flower and then think of those leaves on the stem. like that

I think face brushes or 'thin' brushes with alot of splits are what you need to use (assuming I read a-right and you want 'A Bugs Life' size leaves).
