Run Event December 27th!   Online Goodness There are 0 users and 2 guests online     Red Faction : Lounge : problem with RF, SB live24bit and XP [Forum Rules]   Back to Forum Thread List skvlad01   Posted 17th Jul 2006 1:18pm L4Y Member Post 351 / 614 I have been using a sound blaster live 24bit in RF for a while now. my os was win2k. due to spyware doc trashing me os's registry i had to format, so i disided to put on Xp. but now the sound disapears in RF after 2 min in all games modes. this is not a problem with my compy as i have tryed that sound card in several XP compys and the same thing results. its also not a driver problem as i downloaded the latest drivers and the same thing happens in all XP compys but not win2k or other os's. it seems that XP wont let this card work with RF, not just RF but a few other games suffer but not to the extent of sound disapearing just bad quality. and 1 got any ideas why this is happening? I didn't know if it was a bug with RF or what... In the end I simply ran RF from my onboard sound card and kept my SB for other games.
