There is, but this site doesnt support it because its illegal.
In the meantime, download the 1.3 RF User-Made update, which doesnt require a CD in the drive

thanks it worked just fine. I let my ex wife use my discs to install it on her computer so I could kick her CENSORED in DM.

illegal, pff Whats illegal with it?
(oh no not yet another endless thread)

Using the no CD crack is soo comfortable. Its not illegal if you have the CD and use it only on one PC. But of course this is hard to proove when the law is chasing you.(if it ever will on such a cheap matter)
I havent read the EULA of Red Faction, but it may be illegal to use the same software on two computers at once... Oh wait, I do it. I hope THQ havent read this! But this was the only way to test my mods, and it wouldnt have worked without. I'm gonna spit in their face if they tell me I do illegal things! jk

Its better to release official patches after some time that remove the CD lock. (like UT2003 and UT2004..) I love Epic for that But I think they've had their reasons..?

Its like you're dancing with a steak in front of some pitbulls ...

The truth is ... yeah, they probably won't come after people doing illegal things with software ... but they also don't want the people t hat do it to know that they won't come after them for doing that stuff (or something like that )

they sometimes set examples out of people ... even if they don't make any physical profit out of it ... they profit by keeping people inline ...

so the people they make example of are the people who post out loud on forums "yeah, i pirate software ... and you can get away with it too!"

Edit: Is it bad when americans are more afraid of the law than people from other countrys?
