I have been working on an arena type map and have recently began adding a few new things ie. crates etc. some of the new geometry isnt showing up even after I rebuild my geometry and save. When I play the level the new additions just arent showing up. Any ideas?

I guess there are too many faces and vertices to calculate.

The last time i encountered the problem, i had to add portals and finaly remove some brushes, even thou i wasn't above the limits.

The problem was that some parts of brushes hadn't appeared after recalculation, neither in the editor nor in the game. but it was not necessarily the last added brushes that disapeared.

I dont know I guess RED is just wierd that way

maybe you've hiden the new brushes, by accidentally pressing h.

I think the opposite key is alt + h


Maybe the brushes you've added are air brushes.

Removing Bogus Solids: 0.179 s

That tells everything.

Red removes some solids that are somehow broken/bogus to prevent crashing or other glitches.

didnt know that. but things seem to be in working order now. I think I made the map too big. I hope it dont crash on me lol.

how big is it?

I once made a map that was 800m wide by 800m long by 400m high (back in the day when i didn't know RED had limits) ...

it was a city ... i think i finished two buildings before RED crashed .
