Halo 1 set the bar for console shooters...
Halo 2 created a mass audience on Xbox Live...
Sure Halo made be overrated but without those 2 games, the xbox would have been dead....
I enjoyed Halo 1 a lot when I first got it. In fact, it was my most favorite game of all time back then because of the excellent multiplayer and campaign mode. The game also introduced me to shooters and game tournaments around my city 
Halo 2....the multiplayer was awesome...but the campaign dissapointed me.... |

Halo 1- Great game, great single great multi
Halo 2(Hyped 2, as I call it.)
I personally hate Halo 2 compaired to the first one, Xbox live is alright but most of your level 50 "skilled" people use the plasma pistol and battle rifle combo and glitches like BxB and BXR and cheap stuff. The game has problems like one team being able to control the power weapons and spawn kill the other team the entire game. |

I don't see why you needed to shoot nod113 for agreeing with me. Obviously you either need to stop playing violent video games for a while or at least respect our opposing views. Nod113 was agreeing with me, so his reasonings for why Halo is overrated are the same as mine. You quite obviously like Halo, okay that's cool, we don't (or at least I don't) like it as much as you do. I said I liked them, I do play them and I never said I hated them, but I won't kill someone to defend them either.
BACK ON TOPIC! The 360 is a great console and for those people who say it has a lot of problems, the only wide-scale problem was the overheating POWER SOURCE, not the actual console. Easily replaceable. |

I'm too uninformed to offer a real opinion here, but from what I do know, the nintendo looks like the only actual change - while the 360 and PS3 offer only improvements on the existing status quo. |

When the PS3 will be out the XBOX 360 will have some great game but in time the PS3 will get lots of great games like MGS4, Tekken6, FFXIII, FFvsXIII, and i think this is because Sony got more support from those companies and thay dont rush games like MS did whit Perfect Dark: Zero |

The PS3 was announced to have a price of $425 USD when it is released. That is with a 60 GB removable harddrive, with free online service, yes thats right I said it, it's free, with blu-ray technology, allowing disks to hold much more, about 50 GB I heard, and also having somewhat better graphics than the 360 or Wii. Not too bad for only $25 more than the 360. 
Oops forgot to post about my thoughts on the 360...
If you were to get the optimised package, $399 USD, you would be getting:
Old CD tech. Sure games will look great, but the games would be extremely short because of CD space. Several CD's for one game anyone?
A fire hazard. The vent's are underneath the console if you were to have it in it's standing position. If you wanted to have it in the standing position, you would have to buy a special stand so the console can breathe. 
"Backward compatible" games. Star Wars Battlefront II doesn't even work on the 360. Niiiice work. Wait a sec, mabye SWBF2 for the 360 is compatible with the X-Box? 
Over hype-edness from hell. Halo 3 probably is going to be the same as Halo 2, just that Master Chief's armor will be a little more shiny.

There will be a 20gb ($540) version and a 60gb ($599) of ps3, the cheaper one will also miss some of the features the 60gb has, the blu-ray can actualy support 200gb

Sony says the PS3 will cost $499 (20gb) and $599 (60gb), and Sony is a more reliable source than you. |

Anyways, Halo 1 kicks major CENSORED and Halo 2...meh. I love the multi-player but like someone said already: Halo 1 multi-player was based on skill and talent...as Halo 2 is just a matter of who finds the best weapons. I was playing live the other day and the people who win are the ones who run around with an energy sword and the rocket launcher. Then there are the glitchers...I see them flying around the map with sniper rifles on top of the level. I hope halo 3 will atleast have some glitch defense system. |

Misinformed and a Sony fanboy. With free online there will probaby be so much lag its unreal from a non funded online service, and what about cheaters? Sony probaby won't care, I mean, your not paying them, why care about the cheaters. Another one of those "You get what you pay for deals."

True, there will not be as much space but Microsoft went with something that was already released and was tried and true, and if a game needs more than 15GB on a single layer disk is actually a turn off for me because it means the developer spent too much time on graphics and not quality or made a game that is so long I could put more than 2 weeks into it and not be done.

Yes you do have better luck with the 360 on it's long side but once again you are misinformed in that the 360's main vents are on the back with fans.

Lets see you create a software emulator for a video game console. Emulators are very hard to write, so much trial and error it could make you scream and pull your hair out. Microsoft did not intend to put it in until they saw how much the fans wanted it, and now they are working everyday to try to get software backwards compadibility to work. Remember, Microsoft is make an emulator to run games on a totally differant hardware set up, its kinda like making Windows programs run on Mac. Also, as far as I know SW:BF2 works on 360 according to the Xbox 360 Backwards comp list. You are so misinformed.

I seriously doubt that, Halo 3 has been in development since Halo 2 was released, Nov. 9, 2004, and Halo 2 was rushed to be finished in 10 months insted of Halo 1 which was 3 to 5 years in development.
Now I know I just stood up for Microsoft but I only did because I'm tired of everyone saying it sucks compaired to Sony when it clearly doesn't. Sony is great, I love Sony, but I like Microsoft just as much. You don't have to like just one, just like your parents. Just try to be more informed next time you try and post anti-Microsoft BS. |

I didn't say it sucked, I said that the PS3 would be better (my opinion). Yes the online service would be free, but you wouldn't be getting the "Get what you pay for" deal. There willbe bonus content, levels, and patches that you have to pay for to download. That is probably how they will make the money for it. Plus Sony makes tons of money in other electronic fields, so they might have the extra cash to keep the online service well maintained. Lag? Most likely going to be broadband 750kbps or better only. Ruins my hopes of online console gaming for awhile, since I have dial up, but in 3 1/2 more years (I think the next gen consoles will last untill 2013< I will be moving out, and I am not staying in hick New York. Then I could probably get broadband. 
I never siad the X-Box sucked, in fact Halo 2 is actually kinda fun if you get over the overhype. |
