I talked to Mad Ferriet about it and ive tryed severals ways from changing the player start pos to a different area to changin res on RF and renaming the map.
So far nutting is working so if anyone has an idea let me know plz
BTW im working on my existing map CTF-TakeDown and making it BIGGER AND BETTER adding features like more lifts a under ground tunnel and rooms to a pond to take a quick sip when your mouth is just to dry to continue. Hope this map gets more attention be a while b4 I complete but it wont be long either. |

Some more info about your map would be helpfull.. such as number of lights/faces/vertex's/Texture Variety/portals/clutter objects.
My knowledge of this error is too many clutter objects.. you can find out how many clutter objects you have in the map by going to "Group" mode and inside the +Master Groups sub-tree it will have a number in brackets (000) next to the desired thing.. in this case Clutter..
The other possible answer is respawn points are not spread out enough.. Im just talking from experience here because my old map Darkrun had the same problem.. It was fine with less than 4 players but once theres more than 6.. it would sometimes crash with the 'failure to create player entity' message. |

Well things is its my old existing map CTF TakeDown but only thing ive added to it so far is more brushes and ligths and some extra texture.
Last thing I did was add 2 more lifts after I added those I got the error message when loading the map from RED but if i load it from RF it crashes and I have to reboot. If that help narrow it down some let me know. Other than that my player spawns are find but it aint working right some wierd reason after I added those lifts which i might just redo. |

Would that be clutter lights or just light lights? and does the map have any portals to help make it run smoother? |

Well I added a Portal but im still getting the error
edited 8:21pm CST----- Tryed everything from cutting out lights redoin the lifts changing the name of the map changing player pos even more as well as many others so far im still getting this error here is a ss

Have you tried deleting the red.cfg file from your C:\games\RedFaction\Red directory after you removed the lifts?
That is when you started getting that error correct? 
I might add that when that error has happened to me, it's always has been the player start position. Not the not the multi player spawn point but the green man. I usually move him to within a meter from the ground of on of the main brushes. This way if I ever have to play it through RED, I won't get killed from a very high fall. |

Ight well its there when ya get back ill hit the bed soon in prob 5 hrs and its 1:00am atm so by time i get around to mess with the computer you should be home or done by then. |

Just so you know I was able to create a level pack file. I don't know if me moving the vegetation up a bit bit help but once I did that, it worked. 
Oops I see that you can't create a server with the file. Back to the drawing board. |

OK if it helps, I have narrowed it down to an object. I deleted all of them and I can create a server now. 
and it defenitally is one at the bottom. It's late now and I need my sleep. |

Well after numerous items deleted, I have come to a conclusion.
.
.
It's either or both of these items that are causing the error:
ShopLight_WIDE
ShopLight_Wide_LONG
I also sent you back the file with those items deleted and it seems to be working fine. You will have to add lights back in the rooms again, well on the ceilings beams. I also made your push regions a bit longer on your conveyor. You have them exactly the same length as the belt itself. Which is fine and dandy but when you get on it, instead of being pushed of the belt. You just hang there. With the way I did it, now you get pushed off, like you would if this was real life. 
This is just my opinion.
The way you have placed the weapons is kinda weird. You have weapons in only a couple of locations and their ammo at another. You might consider placing weapons more throughout the level and just set it to re-spawn time to one second and put in ammo in the same location as the weapon. You can and should set the spawn times on them to one second as well. You should maybe add/spread the armor and health through out the level. Currently you have them all in one place, which is a minus when you need it. It will make capping the flag almost impossible or frustrating. |

I was pretty sure the problem was to do with 'Objects' but the strange difference with Darkrun is that it only crashes with the "failure to create player entity" error message usually with more than four players, But I have also experienced the type which crashes instantly as you 'Create Game' .. GJ though |

I was going to create a box to see if it was both of them that create the error or just one. I don't map any more so I couldn't do it. It's just that if I did do it, I know I would want to continue with the map(box) and then before you know I would release another crappy map....With good game play!
mad_ferrit has set the bar too high for other mappers. He is probably the sole reason why not that many players are mapping any more. |

Well I still am, mapping for RF.. but like you said.. RF is changing with little mappers around these days.. So the maps I creating are not trying to rise to such a level as mad_ferrit but just taking into consideration how much use my maps could receive at this late age of RF existence..
I still dream of the perfect CTF map with gameplay that keeps up with the defaults.. and I know for a fact Deathrun style maps could have a very intresting future..
Another thing is that certain tricks have been developed and yet there have been bearly any maps which include these special features yet.. such as Moving Glass and among lots of other things which i will not mention because I have mentioned before.. |

I sincerely hope that's not the case...
I have spent more time on msn / ventrilo helping other wannabe mappers than I have ever spent in RED myself, I'd rather think that I've helped and inspired more mappers than I have ever put off |
