Nintendo have released the name for the console that was refered to as the "Revolution"
The new name is "Wii" (pronounced as "we")
Their reasoning behind this name is:

So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you. Because it's really not about you or me. It's about Wii. And together, Wii will change everything. |

I know not many people actually care, but i still want to know your thoughts on this name.
Personally i think its a terrible name, thoughts? opinions? |

Hell no, That name is retarded! It looks like Nintendo is trying to be all artsy in concept and, now, name. Revolution worked just fine, but I still plan on getting one (Red Steel looks like fun). |

Red Steel indeed looks like an awsome game, Sadness also sounds interesting. |

That's what i've always done: NES-Gamecube = "Nintendo"

I don't know. After watching that intro animation, I might change my vote. I mean, how could you do that with the letters in Revolution? |

Someone suggested that they just call it Nintendo RE, which is much better than Wii IMO.
There have been some quite humerous comments on the news posts about this around the net.  |
