k, i thought of an idea for having a driveable car. cudn't u just make the car as a player model, and then make all the animations for the driving. Wud this work?

Making the animations for the car would mean a lot of time consuming

It's like saying I want to make a gibbing system where when they blow up, they go into pieces that can still go into ragdoll. You cant just put a skin on the wounded part. You'll have to make an animation for the separate limbs when they go flying....or at least that's wat i think....it would take a lot of work.

yah, but the car animations wudn't be ridiculously hard, wud they? i mean animation take a long time i think, but that wud definitely be innovative and cool.

Yea of course it would be innovative. There's no drivable cars in Max Payne 2 at all!!!

It WOULD be cool if someone is able to pull it off

Yeah that would be cool but several problems:
You would have to take away jump
If you turned the mouse it would turn the car on the spot
As soon as you take your finger of forward the car would stop

soz for that but it just cant happen - cool idea though

Why don't you do it but with something could turn on the spot and stop instantly like a hoverboard or something.

Hey a hoverboard would be a great idea actaualy and the shootdodges could be tricks or someting!

Cool idea if someone could make the good models. Also have machine guns or something on your hoverboard to kill the enemies.

We tought of this for blood will tell a very long while ago, but like you guys mentiond there are alot of problems. It's unlikley it will work, for example gearing how will that work? Or will the car drive 50 miles per houre all way long? Nah..

I figured out the car gearing problem. First make you normal speed animations and put it in max's run animation block, then take the fast speed animations and put it in max's shootdodge animation block. You could also add nitros if you create a Particle effect and make a faster animation and put it in the crouck block.

Example: Normal speed=arrows, Fast=control and arrows, nitros=crouch.

well couldn't u just disable the mouse for the particular level or something (im a little knew to mp2 modding, and am not really familiar with coding)

and i was thinking no gears (come on, its not going to be great for driving but i think it wud be cool. the thing is, gears seem like a bit of a unrealistic goal)

That would mean the car would be the same speed each time unless you put it into frames you'll probably need like 3000.
