Red Tech doesn't have the monopoly on "group maps"

indeed but red tech does have the experience and the structure (a forum to talk about it, tutorials to help, a way to deal maps: file attachement)

I can't see a good reason for someone to manage a group map by himself when you can simply ask trigger to be part of a RedTech mapping group, considering he already lead that kind of project twice with some kind of success.
Unless of course, if Vibes has a secret asset that will allow him to do better (or if he absolutely wants his name on the map pack)

Well I am sorry to any1 that has made any parts for this project but due to some unfortunate family illness I will not have the time to continue this project.
If any1 else would like to take over this project please feel free to do so.

By the way I never ever wanted to credit myself for anything on this project as the whole project was just for fun and I was not intending to actually make any part of the map myself so only the mappers that contributed to this project would of been credited.

I respect what red tech have done for the RF community but I am sure that there founders are not all narrow minded in the believe that I was stealing there idea. Other wise the people that use there tutorials could also be accused of copying there ideas.

The whole point in having communitys is to communicate and share idea's.

On a finishing note I wonder if the creators of Wolfenstein post in the red faction forums saying that they stole the idea of a first person shooter.......................nope didn't think so

I came here as I was a little curious to see what this topic was about.

After reading the first page, I have come up with an idea to 'even out' the problem with vibes having too much power over what is cut and what is pasted into the map.

Put them up on Levels4You, and have them marked as Fun Room Comp Maps. Users who download the maps can then test them and post how they felt about the room.
Those who follow the path of others lack the imagination or courage to create their own.
In my spare time I like to write game reviews for Game Revolution.

Why is everyone looking at this so seriously? I mean look at some of the trash that has been released overe the years, it can't be any worse than that.

And Vibes, sorry to hear that

sorry to hear about your Problem Vibes.

FuryThor, Im sorry but I have been watching these threads over the past few weeks and all I see are random topics posted about your "mod" and "ideas" by you, in most of them you say you have done things but these are highly in-feasable. When asked to provide proof, none has materialised and when others have ideas, you have to go and trash talk their threads and then go on about your ideas. RedTech was a good idea. However working as a group is not Copyrighted. I am a member of the RedTech mapping group and would personally congratulate ANYONE and EVERYONE who wishes to attempt to try a project out. Its tough but worth it.

Note: If there WAS a copyright on RedFaction mappers working together (Which there isnt), It would belong to RFU
Trying to find old players. Anyone about? Drop me a PM or reply to this thread:
