So, I know most people here use 3dmax, but, I stumbled across another free program recently, called Rhino, on www.rhino3d.com. Now, Im still learning how to do it, but, it seems to be a very good 3d editing program. However, these too is a trial version, and will no longer save after 25-30(depending on which program you are using) saves. Then you have to re-download it and itll work again for another 25-30 saves. Anyways, just thought Id throw it out there in case some of you enjoy it more than 3dmax. With Flamingo, Rhino, Bongo, and Penguin, it makes for very nice editing tools. Im currently really involved in Bongo, as it can do very nice animation stuff. |

I have used Rhino but it was a long time ago when they offered a full functional free version.. maybe it was a beta. That might be right too cos it had a few bugs in it lol.
haven't checked the latest version. Does it support 3ds and max file formats? |

I dunno. Like I said, Ive only begun messing around with it. Rhino, Penguin, and Bongo are fully functional versions. Its just you cant save after so many times on them. I wished Flamingo was fully functional, as it has the light rendering and stuff on it, but they limited the stuff you can use on it. |

still cant export to RF, the RF .v3d and .vfx plugins will ONLY work with 3ds max V4.2-5 |

A software that is limited by saves? What a horrible idea  
I hope the Rhino trial isnt doing auto-saves every 2 minutes 
I have over 5000 max files stored on my HD, others were backed up.
How many minutes would Rhino work for me? lol jk
But really, I would even keep my PC running over night just to keep my unsaved work alive when using Rhino Trial. 
I hate it when trials expire and theres almost no way to get them to run again.
Often I just don't have the money to buy myself another PC.
