Do some characters in RF dodge and run faster then others? Someone was saying in RF that I had an "unfair" advantage for using the Masako skin. I don't see how it is unfair because if they want to use that skin they can use it too because it is default. |

There is advantages to using a few characters, it has nothing to do with agility and such, its to do with the size of the Character. Masako is the thinest, and smallest character and therefor the hardeest to hit. A Riot Guard and an Enviro-Suit Technician is a much larger target, but I think they May jump slightly higher than Masako, but thats only a theory... (also Masako can crawl into smaller areas) |

I have also found that jump height can be different across systems/PC's ... figure that one out.
Once I had a trench that I could jump out of on my computer and no matter how hard my mate and I tried on his computer it could not be done. That was in the Parker skin on both comps. |
If I ever get to where I am going, will I know when I am there? |

Yeah, I have noticed that, mostly when Water is involved! LOL. Hate getting stuck in water, when others can jump out of water.
I may try a map where it tests jump heights.
would be cool to have special area\'s for bigger characters, and crawl areas for the midgets! |

That Evil, Evil, Nasty Water ... my most feared enemy, with the elite it is impossible for me to get out of water that isnt on the same level as the ground around it. |

I found that any 1 with a 64 bit processor can't jump out of water and moves very very slowly across the surface.
and on my computer the hmg, sniper and flame thrower are really amped up but absolute poverty on my little bro's comp. and also on my box the PR and assault rifle as so bad they are dead last on my favorite list. pistol is over 20 times more amped then they are. but once again opposite on my bro's comp. |

Are you guys still talking about computers cting different from each other again? like they all have different personalities?
I don't notice any difference between weapons on any of the computers or jump height ... i do see the difference in jump height between characters though and i do belived someone had proved it without a doubt. ... with scientific and logical reasoning . |

That's true for me anyway. Though somebody pointed out that the black suited Parker skin was the best at getting out of water and although it's still difficult it is possible to get out of water with this skin.
Unfortunately it's a bit larger than my usual skin so I can't get into my favourite cracks and crevices with it. |

Yes Assaultman, I believe it was NoClanFrank that pointed it out whilst using jump pads. Take Masako and that large merc for example. With Masako, try going next to a jump pad in CheckMate and holding down the forward key to go forward to get on it. She kind of.. "straddles" it for a moment, whereas using the large merc, you just step on it like an ant! lol
And about 32-bit vs. 64-bit. Completely untrue on what I have tested, my aunt purchased a 64-bit pc with an AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ and it ran just as well as my 32-bit AthlonXP +3000..... No issues with characters <_< Nor any issues whilst in water. |

It may has something to do with the latency of the controls.
It often happened that my character didn't jump at the same time as I pressed the button. Sometimes I noticed bad lags.
I think it has something to do with the graphics drivers. Often wrong drivers(new drivers) lock up the controls completely no matter where you looking at. (many particles on screen often make it worse)
I think the same happens when I want to jump, but locks up just for a few miliseconds. The controls dont get completely locked up but almost.
The game became incompatible with the newer drivers. |
