hey all. I just made an awesome tree in brush that looks better than any of RF's trees and I was wondering if there is a way to make it into a clutter object so u can put heaps in a map just like the trees all ready in RED.
If u made it in RED i would keep it as a brush as it whont make as much lag

Yeah, But Vlad has sent me this tree.. and When we try to copy & paste it so there are 2 trees ... RED decides to crash

Did you make it a group? Save and then Load it when you want another tree. Groups nearly always solve crashing problems and can save what might seem to be a lost level. If you make it a clutter object it is possible that the tree will load without the need for the users/players to be running a mod.

There are some missing clutter files such as CutsceneFX_b for example and yeah you could overwrite that particular clutter object and include the model in the vpp and players would not have to run a mod.. but other than that i think the only way to add more clutter would be to have a mod.

I know there is light and a chair clutter missing in RED. every time u put them in they dont appear and RF crashes coz they are not there. may be u could replace them with my tree
The problem with this plan is, you better make sure that no one else is using these cluttar objects, because if someone uses it for a desert map and someone else uses it for a space map, the interference could cause a spaceship in the middle of the desert, or a cactus in a spaceship.
