what is the most faces u had on a poly?
i tryed to see if u could make a poly with more faces on it then any other game. so far i got a piramid so nicely rounded at the corners that it has 11800 faces on it. red takes a whole 10 minuts to calculate the lighting on it. lol soon i need a super computer to go even more

Painkiller:
The proprietary 3D engine puts out 100X the polygons of the latest shooters. The average level is 350,000 polygons, and also incorporates advanced vertex and pixel shaders, including water, glass, volumetric lights and fog, etc.
I think you might still have some way to go?

I still think newer game engines/editors can have far more faces than you can in RED.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

No doubt. But this is in the RED Editing section.

11,800 faces doesn't leave much room for anything else.

Sure it is in the RED editing section, but if you read his post he said more than in any other game

It is common info about the Painkiller engine, so how is it a plagiat?
It was just meant to show what other game engines can do.

At first i thought this was regarding 3D Studio Max but i assume your talking about RED Editor.

Well I prefer to save my resourses which guarantees a healthy map and a smooth high performance map to play.. Using as little faces as possible to create the most complex and wild shapes.

RED crashes for me once i get to about 6000 faces, I just tried to fuse together 8 spheres all with 24 sides + 24 splits.

I just created a pyramid, then made it a keyframe, then mesh smoothed it 7 times at 0.90 and I came up with 65544 faces 262168 face verticies and 65544 verticies. It could probably go higher but I dont have the patients to sit here and wait for it to mesh smooth again then wait for it to build. Right now it takes 6 min to build and thats too long for me.

That maybe so. However, dictionary.com: "take without referencing from someone else's writing or speech". In your case, copy and paste. It is plagiarism plain and simple.

Damn that is sad then. In his map I was getting a better frame rate as him and I think we both have the same video cards(nVidia 6800 GT).
I don't even have a gaming motherboard, but I wished I had installed one when I first built this computer. All I have is a silly little Abit VT7.
